beactive brace

The BeActive Brace is an acupressure therapeutic brace to help relieve low pain pain and pain associated with sciatica. The brace is worn around the knee with an acupressure button pressing on a specific acupressure point on the back on the knee and calf. The targeted pressure on this point is what relieves the pain many experience from sciatica and low back issues.

Does it work? The feedback we have received from our customers is yes, it does work. Here are some of the stories we've heard-

-A elderly gentleman was very excited to share his story with us. He said he has not been able to walk more than 5-10 minutes at a time due to extreme pain in his hip and low back. When he wears the BeActive Brace he can walk to entire mall for the first time in 30 years.

-We received an email from a woman who says "I don't know if it's my imagination but this brace really seems to work!"

-A marathon runner came into our store and was interested in purchasing the BeActive Brace but he didn't want to buy it unless it did in fact work for him. So we let him try it on and he said his hip immediately felt better. Not 100% better but about 85% is what he said. Enough that he was very excited about it and bought it.

Why does BeActive work? Well, acupressure therapy has been around for thousands of years. It is the basis of Chinese Medicine and Acupuncture. The Chinese developed a system of health care that is based on the meridians. These meridians are energy channels that run along the entire body. Along each channel is concentrated energy, this energy makes up the meridian points. Each channel corresponds to a particular part of the body. We all experience stress in our lives and this causes blockages in the meridian channels. This can then cause pain and dysfunction in the area of the body that the blocked meridian relates to. To release these blockages acupressure therapists apply targeted pressure to the meridian points, acupuncture therapists place tiny needles on those points. The BeActive Brace applies pressure to a specific point that is on the meridian associated with sciatica and low back pain.

Is this real or all in your mind? Nobody can really say for sure but acupressure and acupuncture therapy has helped a tremendous number of people. There are Sea-Bands that help reduce nausea in pregnant women or those with motion sickness. The bands go on the wrist and apply pressure to an acupressure point associated with nausea. Studies show that Sea-Bands help 75% of those who wear them. That's a pretty high number. One aspect that we really like is this therapy helps to get people off of drugs that are unhealthy for the body and have many side effects. With addiction to pharmaceuticals on the rise anything that can help relieve pain without the use of drugs is a huge benefit. So, is it all in your mind? We say that doesn't really matter. The mind is a powerful thing so if wearing BeActive or any other acupressure therapeutic device helps relieve your pain we say go for it!
