A Derma Roller is a simple device used to perform collagen induction therapy (CIT), also known as micro needling or skin needling. The tiny needles on the Derma Roller lightly pierce the skin- stimulating collagen production in your skin, which improves the health and youthful appearance of your skin. Over time, with consistent use, microneedling breaks down scars and wrinkles while the enhanced production of collagen plumps up the skin and fills in those fine lines making the skin appear smoother and younger.

The Derma Roller works to treat scars, wrinkles, stretch marks, cellulite, blemishes and acne, hair re-growth, dark spots, skin texture, and enhance nutrient absorption.

This treatment creates a minor pricking sensation. For at home use we recommend starting with the smaller needles (.25mm-1.0mm) and build up to larger ones once you are comfortable with micro needling. Usage of 1.5mm and up will require skin numbing as the needles are larger and may be painful for some*.

Results from skin needling take time, they do not happen overnight. It generally takes about a month to see changes in your skin*.

For each treatment you will want to run the Derma Roller over the area you are treating about 10 times in multiple directions (right to left, up and down). The size of your needle determines how often you use it. Overuse can harm your skin and will not increase your results. Allow your skin the necessary recovery time. Here is a guide for how often to use your Derma Roller based on the size of the needles-

0.2mm-0.25mm -may be used daily or every other day
0.5mm -may be used once every 3 weeks
0.75mm -may be used once every 4 weeks
1.0mm -may be used once every 5-6 weeks
1.5mm -may be used once every 6 weeks
2.0-3.0 - may be used once every 8 weeks

Be sure to disinfect your Derma Roller after each use.

After needling your skin may turn red (like a sunburn, feel sensitive or slightly swollen for a few hours. We recommend needling at night before bed. Be sure to moisturize well and throughout the days after needling and avoid direct sunlight without proper sunscreen.

There may be some skin peeling a few days after micro needling. Keep using moisturizer and do not let your skin get dry. Use a good quality skin care product with Vitamin C, E and A to aid in the new collagen production and healing process.

Use of a Derma Roller for microneedling at home is a scientifically proven way to reduce scars, wrinkles, blemishes, stretch marks and cellulite when used properly. This treatment takes time.
